Does anybody know who you are ?

Did you ever wonder about what direction are you going in your life? What would you like to do and what would you like to get out of this short few years period called lifetime? Do you know who you are? Believe or not, a lot of people never had the chance (alive or dead) to know what they want to do, or what they want to get out of their life.

Reason why you should read this article is that most of people never do what they love and what they are passionate about.  They are just wondering and dreaming, but never planning. People that already know what they want out of their lives are more able to be successful in long run. They have stronger guts to survive pressure and bad circumstances in whatever environment. What I mean is: "When you know what to do and you are doing it on the right place, then you should be much more successful than anyone else in your department, field or niche."

There is few ways how to find it out:
  • One of them is to ask your friends – what do you think I might be good at. Your friends usually know you well. Be patient and let them give you honest and positive feedback. If they’re going to tell you „Well Marry I would say that you would be cool account manager, because you always care for our soccer team I would say.“ The others might have different opinion but never get angry on what they tell you. You asked for it.

The other way to find out is to have some time for yourself and brainstorm – put some ideas of what you have accomplished on piece of paper, or somewhere on your computer. Rather than on computer I would suggest to use old-style pen and paper – your brain is more focused. Be patient and creative. If you don’t like to sit in quiet environment, play some instrumental music. Instrumental music is proven to boost your creativity and make it work for you.

  • Imagination is your friend; every one of us can imagine themselves in next 20 years. Other idea is to picture yourself and have fun thinking how are you going to live in 20 years from now. How would you like your house look like? What kind of car, cat, dog, and parrot would you like to have? Do you want to own a business, or to be corporate manager at Google. When you clearly know your target, the path is just matter of time and patience.

You really have to think, just like Steve Jobs said at graduation ceremony in 2005, Palo Alto:"You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle." Find out who you are.
